Measuring the flow temperature in a metal pipe is a breeze with our ICSkin pipe surface probe. But how does such a measurement work on plastic tubing where a surface probe is unsuitable due to poor heat transfer?
We have developed our new inline temperature sensor for precisely these cases. It measures the flow temperature of liquids precisely and is remarkably responsive (T63: 1 second). Moreover, the sensing element does not protrude into the flowing liquid. This immersion-free design helps avoid a pressure drop.
With push-to-connect fittings on both sides, you can quickly mount the sensor on the tube (⌀ 4 / 6 / 8 mm). The electrical connection is made either with the help of an M8 connector or through a directly overmoulded cable – both versions are IP67 rated.
As for the sensing element, you have the choice between Pt100, Pt1000 and various NTC. We are of course glad to help you make the right decision!
